Humanitarian and Compassionate Applications
Foreign nationals may apply for permanent residence from within Canada on Humanitarian and compassionate grounds (H&C) if they are currently living in Canada and do not fulfill requirements of any immigration program.

- Level of applicant settlement in Canada
- Adversity on the applicant if the request is not granted
Caregiver Programs
Under the Caregiver programs eligible candidates can work temporarily or become permanent residents after gaining sufficient experience. Currently, Government of Canada offers two pilots in this category :
- Home Child Care Provider
- Home Support worker Pilot
In this program, employers do not require Labour Market Impact Assessments to hire employees, and two years of work experience in Canada is needed to become a permanent resident.
